The Dorabji Nanabhoy Mehta Sarvajanik Hospital (DNMSH), Navsari was founded in 1915 by the Late Meherwanji Nanabhoy Mehta in loving memory of his brother the Late Dorabji Nanabhoy Mehta as a Parsee Maternity Hospital. It was known as The D. N. Mehta Parsee Lying-in Hospital with a capacity of 32 beds. It provided for 40 day stay in the hospital. With the mission of serving humanity irrespective of caste or creed, the hospital has continued its journey for 100 + years. From humble beginnings, it has evolved into a 100 + bedded hospital with Tertiary care Multi Speciality General Hospital and has continued to be the preferred & affordable healthcare facility in Navsari & surrounding region.
Hospital operations are currently managed by a team of professionals led by the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and the local Managing Committee members. The Board of Trustees supervise the overall functioning of the hospital. The Trustees envisage to retain the Hospital’s legacy and continue its unique USP of serving the general public by embarking on an ambitious upgradation programme. This encompasses various initiatives for Strategy, Structure, People, Processes and Technology. A step towards modernisation of the facility, quality of services & offerings whilst ensuring staff welfare.
